Hobsinville Extension Trip

Wednesday was one big ride for me! It may not been for you but for me it was a roller coaster that didn't stop.

On Wednesday I was up at the crack of dawn getting prepared for a long drive and a long day. I woke up at 6 rushing around the house knowing that if I wasn't at school before 7 I wasn't going on the trip. Luckily I got to school exactly at 6.45am. I was the first one out of the group to go to the Creative Space.

Once everyone arrived to school Mrs Lagitupu packed all of the cameras and tech gear that we would need to film and do a P.E.N.N episode. Once we got everything and everyone, we hopped into the van on our way to Hobsonville Point Primary School, all the way over the North Shore.

On the way over the Harbour Bridge (NZ) I was looking out the window to my left. Where I saw something CRAZY! Have you ever seen that little island in the middle of the water when you're going over the Harbour Bridge? Well if you have that little island is called Watchman Island, and because it's so small it was pretty obvious to see the large banner that was strapped on it. The banner had the words NO TTPA in HUMONGOUS white letters. It was pretty out of the ordinary but I just starred at it until it went out of sight.

We finally arrive to Hobsinville... Wow, when my mum told me it was fancy out that way she meant it! WOW Hobsinville Point Primary School is flash as!!! It's so modern and... Just wow! I was really breath taken.

When we walked in we had a moment to take in the amazing buildings. We went up to the tuck shop to grab our swag bag to decorate. The swag bag just had a few little gifts like a notebook, pens, crackers and a map of the school.

At the end of the day I was tired, my legs were really sore. I just wanted to go back home and sleep. We had a bit of trouble finding the correct route home. But once we finally found our way, I just sunk into my seat and relaxed. I had a pretty awesome day. I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Receive and Spend explanation

                            Receive and Spend Explanation

How people receive and spend money? This is a question that differs between so many people. This is an explanation for those people out there that need a little pointer on how to appreciate the money that they receive and how to spend it wisely.

You can receive money in so many ways. You can receive money by getting an allowance from your parents, inheriting from family members, working around the house, washing the dishes, collecting change and heaps more.
When people receive money they should really put it in a safe place, so then you know that it safe and you know where it is. Some people are responsible with their money and save up… On the other hand there are some people in the world that don’t have a plan and lose their money pretty quick, but if you don’t want to be like those people this is for you. Here are 3 ways to be responsible with your money when you receive it.

  1. You could make a goal of money which you would like to meet. So maybe make it within the next week or so. This plan is great, because you want to keep working hard and pushing yourself to meet that goal.
  2. Get a piggy bank or a little jar.
  3. Get your parents to put your piggy bank or whatever your     money is in, on a high shelf or somewhere you can’t reach it, so no matter how much you want to spend your money you won’t be able to reach it.

Spending can be a blast for a day out shopping, but then again if you’re spending money just because you have money… You have a little problem. That’s unless you’re a millionaire and have plenty of money. But if you’re not a millionaire then you should be wise with your money and save up and cut down your spending.

If you’re like me and like to buy things you should stop because then if you save up $100 and take that money to the shop, you’re bound to spend it in under 10 minutes. “It was good having that $100 while it lasted.” When spending money you must be responsible with it, but if you don’t know how to, here are 3 steps on how to spend your money wisely.

  1. Plan your purchases in advance. So that you know how much you should be spending.
  2. Shop alone. If you have money and go shopping with your         friends they’re bound to want to buy something as well with your money.
  3. Wait for sales and discounts to come in store. If you can get your item on sale that’s great because then you are saving more money.

Well there you go, there are my tips and tricks on how to be responsible when receiving money and how to be wise when you spend money. Remember when you get money you don’t have to spend it straight away! You can save up so that when it comes to that special day of spending you have a little extra money.

Be responsible with your money when you receive it, and be wise with your money when you spend it.
