Flights to London

I would fly with Air New Zealand to get to London.

From the Air New Zealand safety video "Men in Black" I learnt these 3 things

  1. There is a life jacket in a hidden spot under your seat
  2. The All Blacks have pretty good voices
  3. You only inflate your life jacket as you get out of the plane
(I created my logo on Snapchat with Emoji)

My airline is called Hibiscus Hovers

  1. Hi Alexis,

Wow, what a beautiful logo you created. I love the name of your airline as well. How did you come up with the name 'Hibiscus Hovers?' It's such a creative play on words.

I also love to see that you watched the 'Men in Black' safety video. The All Blacks do a great job of singing and of relaying the important information. It's very important to know where the life jackets are stored in the airplane and when to inflate them.

Please keep up the excellent work! I am really enjoying your posts.

    Cheers, Rachel

  2. Hi, Alexis! Safety measures are very important to know when you're flying and I thought it was really neat that the All Blacks were part of the Air New Zealand safety video. When my 1 year old daughter and I flew from Canada to New Zealand in the summer, we saw the video on the Air New Zealand flight. It was really neat!! We also saw some professional surfers in the video. Do you like to travel? I like the name of your airline. The Hibiscus looks very cheery and bright! Cheers, Leigh

  3. Hi Alexis!

I hope that your summer holiday is going well. I see that my sister, Leigh, has commented on your work and I know that other students from Canada will also be keen to view your blogs and to dialogue with you. If you have some time this week, I would love to encourage you to join in our Summer Learning Journey and start blogging again.

You did such a great job before Christmas with the blogging and earned so many points that you are actually in 3rd place at the moment for Pt England School. If you would like to retain your place and earn a prize at the end of the summer I would encourage you to keep up with the blogging!

We'd love to see what happens next in your journey to the United Kingdom:)

    All the best, Rachel

  6. Hi Alexis,

I am sending you a quick message because I wanted to draw your attention to the flash new blogging award that was posted on your site by Mrs Burt. It was posted there because you have been an active participant in the Summer Learning Journey programme this year. Well done!

    Cheers,

    Rachel

  7. Hi again Alexis,

It's interesting to see that you have used Snapchat to create your cool logo! I have started to use Snapchat as it is a convenient way to frequently touchbase with friends at home in New Zealand - if I just want to say 'hi' or show them something that I am doing or what the weather is like here in Germany I can just take a quick 'Snap' and send it instantly! Your logo-making has inspired me to be more creative with my 'Snaps'!!

I think the Air NZ safety videos are great! Do you know how frequently they make new videos? What do you think might be a neat theme for the next video?

    Cheers,
    Carolyn

  8. Kia ora Alexis ☺

The Summer Learning Journey programme has now come to an end. Thank you so much for being involved this summer!

Over the next few months I plan to review the programme. As part of the review process I am hoping to gather feedback from participants, just like you! To tell me what you think please log onto the Summer Learning Journey website and click on the ‘Feedback’ tab. It will take you to a short online form. Can you please fill it out? It should only take about 5 minutes. I’d love to hear what you think!

I will also be coming into your school in a few weeks to hand out participation certificates. I am really looking forward to seeing you then!

Thanks again for joining our Summer Learning Journey this year. I really hope to see you online again next summer.

    Cheers!

    Rachel
