SHOPPING
I spent the weekend with my dad for the first time in forever.

Spending the first night at Mission Bay was the start of an awesome weekend. Having a big chicken burger made it even better because those burgers fill me up and put me straight to sleep.

Getting up early the next morning to go to work with my dad for 4 hours.

Nothing much happened on Sunday besides a relaxing day with my little sister and step mum. We went out to get a manicure and a pedicure.

Although it was a bit annoying when we got home because my sister kept on pulling me down, and making me play with her. So I had to take desperate measures… I power walked straight into the lounge and pretended to sleep, which made her throw a massive hissy fit!

Labour Day. Labour day was the best! Waking up sun shining, dad cooked up a few cheese toasties for me and my sister, is there any way that could get more better? (Well of course there is) But it did.
Dad yelled out to me and my sister to get changed. We saw on Facebook that there an Arts and Crafts market was being held down at Mission Bay. It gave both me and dad a huge surprise. We hadn’t heard about it and we’re always down Mission Bay. So we quickly rushed around the house to get clothes. I grabbed a few of my old clothes because Dad told us just after he got changed. I almost walked out in my socks forgetting my shoes.

We arrive at Mission Bay. We were lucky enough to find an awesome car park right by the market.

Walking through the crowd nothing really catching our eyes. That was mostly because the prices were blinding us. So we keep walking… Walking… and Walking. Nothing! Not even the food. So we get annoyed that we can’t find anything, we go to KFC in town and have a delicious feed.

With a sore stomach afterward I started to want ice cream! I didn’t get any. But I did have a cruisy drive back home.

I had an awesome Labour Weekend with my family.

An awesome holiday recount!

Holiday Recount:

Finally back to school... NO! My holiday has been filled with so many adventures, I didn’t want them to end. I have been up to so many things and if I describe them to you, we would be here all week. So instead I am going to list them all down for you.

First we went down to Taupo which took about a 3 hour drive we booked into the Hilton Hotel. We arrived at Taupo around 2 o’clock we had to check in at 3 o’clock. So my mum and I went to the Huka Falls.

Once we arrived there it was cold and windy. But the water looked like a lovely light blue crystal. I was amazed my mum and I went around the edges at the top of the water taking pictures of the breathtaking views.

That was our first stop. But if tell you more we definitely will be here all week. Here are some of the activities that we got up to and some of the places we got to eat at.

  • Swimming at the hotel pool. Which was very warm and relaxing
  • Rapid Jet Boat ride down the Aratiatia dam
  • Small Huka boat cruise down the…
  • My mum did the bungy swing. Where you would do the bungy
  • We ate at the Cobb & Co. The steaks there were delicious
  • On Monday and Tuesday we went to Dixie Browns for breakfast
  • We watched 2 guys with 19 years of experience do glass blowing
  • At the glassblowing gallery we went through the glass garden, which had beautiful glass pieces that could have taken hours to make

Well... That’s what I had been upto in Taupo. I’m pretty sure that I did a few other activities but I just can’t remember the name of them. Those three days down there were a big blast of fun!

Now we move on to what I did in Rotorua. Once we arrived there we had a bit of trouble finding the Holiday Inn (that was the hotel we were staying in) But once we finally found it we were tired and hungry. Check in was around 3 but we got there around 2, we didn’t want to wait another hour so we wandered in and headed straight to reception to check. Luckily our room was ready.

The activities that we did down in Rotorua were entertaining, frightening and plain old AWESOME! Here’s a list of the exhilarating rides that we encountered.

  • On a rainy day we saw the beautiful Kuirau Park
  • Skyline Adventures
  • Gondola ride up to Skyline Adventures
  • The terrifying Sky Swing. It was fun when you were swinging. Not as much when you’re facing straight down at the ground how many meters high
  • My mum did zip lining through the forest
  • I had a chance to go to the Jelly Belly Shop while I was up at Skyline Adventures
  • After Skyline Adventures we didn’t want to wait in a humongous line to go on the luge, so instead we went to the other side of the mountain to go to Agroventure
  • At Agroventures my mum and I went on a jet boat ride doing a proper speed boat course with a professional driver hitting G-Force
  • After the loss of energy from all the activities on our last night we got a voucher for the Fat Dog. Great size
  • We ate at Ciccio Cafe. Were I had the most divine fettuccine pasta ever
  •  Another place that we ate was Mac’s Food and Wine. They do a pretty rockin’ steak.

All of these activities really wore me and mum out. So once we got home we wanted to crawl back into bed and have one big long nap.

Our piggy banks were kind of piggy broke when we got home. Although I couldn’t go to sleep just yet I had to clean my room. But that was fine because we were able to have an awesome holiday just the two of us. Without any disruptions and noise. This was the best holiday that I have ever had in my WHOLE LIFE!
